11^th Five year Plan – Vision & Planning

As we are all aware of, India is steadily gearing up to be a Developed Nation by 2020 towards which Science and Technology are major pillars of the society. Technological developments are taking place at a revolutionary pace. Information, Bio and Nanotechnologies plus Smart materials are the buzz words in parallel to strategic sectors such as Space, Defense and Nuclear programmes, not to mention of Telecom and all round industrial revolutions in the country.

Towards this endeavor, quality Engineering education compiled with the research institute and industrial participation are the vital elements for meaningful growth of young engineering community.

It is prudent to strengthen and expand the R & D and Technology Management base in the institute. Bharati Vidyapeeth University College of Engineering had established its R & D cell for focusing the attention on following major activities:

PhD: To develop the Doctoral Programs in all the disciplines of Engineering and Technology Faculty. Read more...

Research Projects: Planned efforts are made to generate funds through research projects from different funding agencies. Every year the grant of more than Rs. 50 lacs is received. Last year [2008], substantial projects are submitted to Department of Science and Technology [Governnent of India], New Delhi, apart from proposals submitted to MODROBS and Institutionf Engineers, India. The R & D cell critically monitors the progress of these.

Research Papers:

An academic environment is created in the institution and necessary facilities are provided to encourage and carry out research. Not only the staff members but also the students have brought name to the institution by bagging several prizes. Every year more than 70 papers are published by the staff members.
