BHARATIYAM is a national level TECHFEST organized in the month of March. Such an Endeavour is the outcome of talent, hard work and creativity blended perfectly. Students participate in thousands not only from pune but also from various prestigious institutions across the nation.
The spirit of Bharati Vidyapeeth University College Of Engineering is epitomized by the pursuit of knowledge and understanding of our environment leading to the creation of young engineers who will contribute to the prosperity and growth of the nation, where every voice would be heard. While the competitions at Bharatiyam prove to be the ultimate test of grit, knowledge and skill, organizing such a big fest provides an enriching experience for the avid learner. As the feeling of youth cannot be expressed in words, in the same way hard work put in by each individual is tough to pen down. Even though everyone can’t shine out bright apart, yet he/she still remains the part of a successful team. It’s been rightly said-“For building a wall you don’t just need good brick…You need hands too!”
Bharatiyam is always being about coming together, showing the spirit of unity among all departments which not only raises the bar, the standards of the techfest but also helps in developing the managerial and organizational skills in an individual. The preparation of Bharatiyam starts way back in December; with all the joint secretaries along with the authority in-charge finalizing the blue-print for the techfest and building strategies. Corporate and the field marketing is the next aspect which is carried out quite efficiently by the respective Marketing heads. Event responsibilities are carefully allotted to responsible students and thereafter Bharatiyam preparations come in its primordial phase. Event heads don’t let any stone unturned in order to execute each and every event in the tune of great technical perfection, with the help of technical team.
The creative teams through their unmatched talent engulf the college building magnificently with their art work, long before scheduled fest, tweaking the college in the lighting spirit. The publicity teams too, in the midst of scorching heat and dust, carry on with the massive publicity and awareness stream. It’s the sheer hard work of hundreds of students who volunteer to raise funds, organize and mange various events and publicize the event with full support, coordination and guidance from the staff.
Events like Acme of Accolade, Contraption, Intensive Coding Unit, Clash of The Titans (Robot-Wars) and Bulls & Bears(a Simulated Stock Exchange) mark the historical participation in Bharatiyam. Events such as Avishkar, Mental Welter, Naksha and words Unplugged draw the brains not only from pune city but also from several colleges across the nation. Such mind boggling events are highly appreciated by the young proactive minds from all fields. Fun-O-Lympics, Youth Nexus and Torsion are very intriguing events and are very popular events in the fest, attracting chunk of the crowd. Rhapsody an Inter College Cultural Extravaganza is another aspect which aims to unleash the talents in an individual. The Ghazal night and the Rock Show form the heart beat Bharatiyam. All these Activities are through the unflinching hard work put in by the young guns. These events go a long way to consolidate the stature of Bharatiyam.
The three days of the fest leaves cherishable moments in the heart and minds of each and every individual and would surely make us nostalgic in the later part of our life. We make a lot of friends; learn intricate details of Operations and Time management. No doubt unison of masses works magic. After all coming together is beginning, staying together is progress and working together is SUCCESS.
